Find practical answers about CNC machining, injection molding, tolerances, materials, lead times and quality documentation. Send us your CAD files and technical requirements for a project-specific DFM review.
Dawang Precision provides 3-axis and 5-axis CNC machining, CNC milling, CNC turning, injection mold making, plastic injection molding, insert molding and metal 3D printing. We support custom parts from prototypes and low-volume production through repeat manufacturing.
Yes. Our engineering team can review STEP, STP, SLDPRT, IGES and PDF files before production. The DFM review can identify issues involving tool access, wall thickness, tolerances, threads, undercuts, material selection and surface finishes. An NDA can be signed before confidential project files are shared.
Tolerances depend on the drawing, material, geometry and manufacturing process. For suitable precision features, Dawang Precision has experience achieving tolerances from ±0.01 mm down to ±0.003 mm. Critical dimensions are evaluated during DFM and verified with appropriate inspection equipment.
Common CNC materials include aluminum alloys, stainless steel, carbon steel, tool steel, titanium, brass, copper and machinable plastics. Injection molding materials include ABS, PC, PA, POM, PBT, PP, PE, TPE and glass-fiber-reinforced engineering plastics.
Simple CNC prototypes may be completed in approximately 5–7 working days. Actual lead time depends on part complexity, material availability, tolerances, surface treatment, inspection requirements and order quantity. A confirmed schedule is provided after drawing review.
Quality control can include incoming material verification, first article inspection, in-process dimensional checks and final inspection. Depending on the drawing requirements, we use CMMs, optical measuring systems, micrometers, calipers, gauges and surface roughness testers.
Available documentation can include dimensional inspection reports, CMM reports, First Article Inspection reports, material certificates, surface treatment certificates and production traceability records when specified during quotation. Dawang Precision operates quality management systems certified to ISO 9001, ISO 13485 and IATF 16949.
Finishing options include anodizing, hard anodizing, bead blasting, polishing, passivation, electroplating, powder coating, painting, heat treatment and laser marking. Availability depends on the base material, functional requirement, color and project specification.
Yes. We support one-off prototypes, engineering validation parts, low-volume manufacturing and repeat production. CNC machining is often suitable for prototypes and precision low-volume parts, while injection molding may be more cost-effective for larger quantities after tooling investment.
